ABOUT THE NRI INSTITUTE


The NRI Institute is a not-for-profit organization founded in the Year 1989 which aims to provide a platform for the Indians living in India and abroad to connect and enhance their business, taking it to new heights. Representing the entire Non-Resident Indians globally, The NRI Institute is dedicated to expand its members professional network and business insights.

The NRI Institute has been organizing conferences, seminars and NRI Meets since its inception, to provide a wider platform for Non-resident Indians who try to keep connected with their soil. Till date more than 100 national and international conferences/events have been organized, celebrating achievements of others, and promoting them so that they expand and flourish their businesses, back here in India as well. The organization has formed 20 Chapters in different parts of the world to broaden the platform and make all NRIs come under one roof. The NRI Institute under the flagship of Late Sardar Jagmohan Singh, Founder Secretary General laid the foundation stone for ‘NRI Divas’ and started celebrating ‘NRI Divas’ in January every year. Later even the Indian government followed the norm and today ‘Paravasi Bharitya Divas’ is celebrated every year.

The events hold prominence as they have a huge and influential gathering from Indian and foreign land. Former Prime Minister, Late Sh.Rajiv Gandhi, Former Prime Minister late Sh. Chandra Shekhar, Former Prime Minister Sh. Manmohan Singh, Late Sh. Pranab Mukherjee, then Finance Minister, Former Chief Minister, J&K, Mr. Farooq Abdullah, Former Chief Minister, J&K, Omar Abdullah, Mr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister for Environment & Forest, and Climate Change,General V K Singh, Former External Affairs Minister, President of Mauritius, Sir Anerood Jugnauth, Lord Swraj Paul, Lord Karan Bilimoria, Lord Rana, Lord Rami Ranger, Mr. G P Hinduja, Mr. Ylias Akbaraly to a name a few have been a part of conferences organized by The NRI Institute. Living Legend Lord Swraj Paul has been associated with the organization since its inception.

British High Commission has been associated with The NRI Institute since its inception in 1989. British High Commissioners to India, Sir David Gore-Booth, Sir Michael Arthur, Sir Richard Stagg, Sir James Bevan, Canadian H.E Nadir Patel along with Indian and foreign bureaucrats and policy makers have been a part of The NRI Institute’s conferences since 1989.

The NRI Institute highlights the achievements of NRIs and PIOs in their chosen field of activities. We help broaden our members perspective and help them exchange views and partnerships with the best organizations.
